Privacy Policy

Effective: February 6, 2026

This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. The short version: your accounting data stays on your computer. We collect very little, and we don't sell what we do collect.

The quick summary

  • AllMy Ledger stores all accounting data locally on your computer. We never see it.
  • We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
  • We collect minimal data — just what's needed to process purchases, provide support, and improve the product.
  • No tracking across other sites. We don't use third-party ad trackers.

Scope of This Policy

This policy covers the allmy.software website and the AllMy Ledger desktop software. Other CoinsTax products — Bitcoin.Tax and Chain Glance — have their own privacy policies. See their respective sites for details.

1. Who We Are

This policy covers CoinsTax LLC, operating under the trade names AllMy and AllMy Ledger ("we", "us"). We are based in Washington, USA. For legal inquiries, contact legal@coins.tax.

2. Your Accounting Data — Stays on Your Computer

AllMy Ledger is desktop software. Your accounting data — transactions, invoices, customer info, bank records, and reports — is stored in a local file on your computer only.

  • We do not have access to your accounting data. It never leaves your machine unless you copy it yourself.
  • We do not transmit financial data to our servers or any third party.
  • You control your backups. We recommend keeping regular backups, but that's your responsibility.

3. What We Do Collect

3.1 When You Visit Our Website

When you visit allmy.software, we may collect:

  • Basic analytics: Pages visited, referral source, browser type, and general location (country/region). We use this to understand which pages are useful and how people find us.
  • Cloudflare data: Our site is hosted on Cloudflare, which collects standard web server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

3.2 When You Purchase AllMy Ledger

When you buy the software, we collect:

  • Name and email address — to deliver your license and provide support
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe handles payment data securely and separately. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
  • Purchase details — date, amount, and order number for our records

3.3 When You Install and Activate AllMy Ledger

AllMy Ledger is distributed through the Microsoft Store. When you install and activate the software:

  • Microsoft Store handles license verification and distribution. We do not collect hardware identifiers, device information, or activation data. Microsoft handles those details.
  • After activation, the software works offline. AllMy Ledger does not phone home, track usage, or send any data back to us.

See Microsoft's privacy statement for details on data they collect through the Microsoft Store.

3.4 When You Contact Support

If you contact us through our contact form or email, we keep your email address and the contents of your message to provide support and improve our product.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process your purchase and deliver your license
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Send important product updates (security fixes, major releases)
  • Improve our website and software
  • Comply with legal obligations (taxes, law enforcement)

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. Product update emails are infrequent — a few times per year at most.

5. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — our payment processor, for processing purchases. See Stripe's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — our hosting provider, for site delivery and security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Microsoft — through the Microsoft Store for license distribution and verification
  • Law enforcement — only if required by valid legal process (court order, subpoena, etc.)

6. Data Retention

  • Purchase records: Kept for as long as needed for tax and legal compliance (typically 7 years)
  • Support messages: Kept for as long as your account is active or as needed to resolve issues
  • Website analytics: Aggregated data retained; individual visitor data is not stored long-term

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request your data: Ask us what personal information we have about you
  • Request deletion: Ask us to delete your personal information (note: we may need to retain purchase records for legal and tax purposes)
  • Opt out of emails: Unsubscribe from any marketing or product emails

To exercise these rights, email legal@coins.tax with your request.

8. For Users in the UK and European Economic Area

If you are located in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

8.1 Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: To fulfil our obligations when you purchase AllMy Ledger (delivering your license, processing payment, providing support)
  • Legitimate interest: To improve our website and software, prevent fraud, and ensure security
  • Legal obligation: To comply with tax, accounting, and other legal requirements
  • Consent: For any marketing communications (which you can withdraw at any time)

8.2 Your Additional Rights

In addition to the rights in Section 7, you also have the right to:

  • Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate personal data
  • Data portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Restrict processing: Ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
  • Object to processing: Object to our processing of your data based on legitimate interest

8.3 Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your personal data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

9. Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies — only what's necessary for basic site functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies. If we implement analytics cookies in the future, we'll update this policy and obtain your consent where required.

10. Children's Privacy

Our products are designed for business use and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we've collected information from a child, we'll delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our website or software after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
